Metalwrite RR3
There have been pictures here and there on private and public forums, Facebook, and in emails going to and fro but now there is reality!
As in the first two RR series, the focus is on intricate hand-applied guilloché with attractive and complimentary Damascus steel stoppers. This time the Damascus has again been commissioned from Robert Eggerling who is well known in the knife-making industry. Through his skill this attractive radial pattern for the stoppers was designed and forged specifically for the RR3. There is a matching Damascus stopper at the end of the main barrel. Eighteen pens make the series and they are each numbered. So if you get more than one you can tell them apart!

For your additional enjoyment there is a YouTube video that shows the guilloché process in detail for the RR3. You can see it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyqeeZpSdEo
As in the prior series each pen is meticulously engraved using ca 1967 Neuweiler and Engelsberger straight line engine turning machines. The method is traditional and uses no motors or computer controls. The clips are hand made and engraved out of solid sterling silver. Rounding out the entire work of art is the Conway Stewart solid sterling section and solid 18K gold nib.

The RR3 weighs in at approximately 86 grams and the weight provides those that are inclined towards beautiful metal pens a writing stability that helps guide the pen and nib through stylographic art. The nib styles are the standard variety provided byConway Stewart - EF, F, M, B, BB, IF, IM, and IB. The pens are also hallmarked in England as to authenticity in traditional English fashion.
Metalwrite and Conway Stewart are proud to offer this outstanding design to you and it is available through Metalwrite, here at Argent Blue, or your favorite retailer.
The Metalwrite RR3 LE18 Retail List Price $2625
As always each pen also comes with an interchangeable solid sterling rollerball section for your convenience.
Engraving on the silver section is an additional option.
Here are some additional fantastic pictures taken by Bill Riepl that can also be seen at the Conway Stewart web site ( http://www.mvburke.com/corporatefldr/metalwriterr3.htm )
