This Parker replica was made from Damascus steel made by Robert Eggerling. Robert is well known for the steel he makes for custom knife-making. A special billet for this pen was commissioned in order to make the pen barrels, caps, and rings out of solid Damascus. The color is achieved by heating the steel to a temperature that brings out the color. The light-colored, or silvery, lines are pure nickel which doesn't color upon heating.
Parker Duofold International
This Parker replica was made from very similar Damascus steel made by Robert Eggerling. An additional special billet for this pen was commissioned in order to make the pen barrels, caps, and rings out of solid Damascus. The color is achieved by heating the steel a bit hotter to a temperature that brings out the blue and purple colors. The silvery lines are pure nickel.
